For Our Forever?

For us to tell each other our unvarnished stories and tales?

For us to sit in the somber forests and listen to the mellifluous songs of sweet-tongued nightingales?

For us to send each other some enamored messages, baffling to the world but comprehensible to us, through the tuneful flying larks?

For us to share our enigmatic thoughts, on a moonlit rooftop under the night sky, gazing at the lucid stars?

For us to watch a shooting star together, close our eyes and wish for the flowing sand in the hourglass to magically change to asphalt?

For us to look at the glowing motionless orange fireflies in the caliginous blue-black night?

For our hearts to beat faster than usual, and our heartbeats to sync to form an exquisite and enthralling musical rhythm?

For you to read all my poetries and verses once again, this time, knowing that you own each word they comprise?

For me to teach you how to read between the lines, and when you do, to see your beady eyes shine and your smile with the right touch of shyness, extending to your eyes and deep into your soul?

Before we've to part our ways,

In distance, miles apart,

Carrying the song of our eternal memories in our hearts,

Can't the wheels of time just stop?

For us to walk on paths leading to eternity?

For a while?

For our constant hopes?
