Fragmented Temptation

Dear my happily beginning,

How is your never-ending treating you so far? Is it everything you visioned it to be? Is the present worth bidding farewell to your peace of mind and your vacant heart? You have fired prudence for the sake of your possible euphoria. You have been through fire and ice; hence, you demanded your common sense to extend the break you deserve and you have claimed what is yours. Do put me at ease and congrats me for taking the proper decisions.

Do you still put on that wistful grin in the morning? I deeply hope the current gain has compensated you for releasing the burdens of your unsaid words. I have to say I was a bit startled when you took the uncalculated risk despite the tensions of your afterthoughts. You have proved to be brave which reminds me to ask, have you regained your composed entity and your well-known grace? Has your latest objective authorized space to your initial ones? You perished your planned hours and your higher calling. Was there enough reassurance to sweep your residues beneath the rug?

I understand how cruel the pauses were on you. Embracing the missed heartbeats and the rapid breathing due to the uncertainties. All those “could have” taunted your sleep, yet you have faced all doubts with blind faith and shaking knees. Walked down the darkest path recklessly not knowing your way back. Completely aware of the damage you have conceded to take place. Is your off button within reach just in case?
