Guilty I Am

Guilty I am, for saying those things

Without knowing what they actually Mean,

Guilty I am, for plucking that leaf

and decreasing the number of the green.

Guilty I am, with that watch around my wrist,

why couldn’t I keep a track on time?

Guilty I am, tho not much, to cut my doll’s hair

as if it was a massive crime.

Sitting idly

has brought this to me

This never ending phase of guilt,

For I feel guilty about every small thing and for every wall left half built.

Guilty I am, for talking to him like that,

irritable he was because of his weakness & old age.

But neither I was old nor i was weak, I wonder, then what made me savage?

Guilty I am for eating that cake last year,

For I think I’ve put on weight because of that one extra bite.

& For fighting with my best friend and shouting at her,

I had no idea what struggle it would ignite.

Siting for hours with my books open, this is what has struck my mind,

And few more questions which I never thought of between my daily grind.

Guilty I was and guilty I am and guilty I will be for writing this rhyme,

This will make me guilty every time I read and will take me back in time.

Guilty I am for worrying about my future

when the past was in my hands as present,

Worrying isn’t a solution when you can pray

he has it all planned even if you haven’t.
