Is This Poem Close To Your Heart?

With whispers of misery lodged in your throat,

To water the dead syllables of love,

By pouring out the naked tears of your heart,

To finally make it look like a poetry!

You start hemming out your cryptic nostalgias,

Into saffronic moon beams of verses,

By drenching yourself in the rain of sweat and blood,

To give wings to the skeleton called "Poetry".

You inflict yourself with the brittle bones of threnodes,

By penning down goodbye summers,

For the cupids who would never return,

To just serve yourself with the zest of "Poetry."

You skin your heart to make it,

You place it over the pedestal of hopes,

And lock it up in the safest arteries of yours.

But,

Is this poetry close to you because of its verses,

Do you like it only because of your mustered courage?

Will you replace it with something else moons later?

You say that the fault is not in the poet,

You like to flow in those poetic reveries,

But, didn't you tear yourself into poems once?

Is your heart equal to that of an hermit,

Or did you just wake up from dementia right now?

If this poem is close to your heart,

Then it means that you have a biased soul!

Will this poetry also be bromidic,

Or is this the deadliest of all poisons?
