People Don't Understand

Sometimes people don’t understand, how much you remember their name,

I’m not lying to you! I’m just trying to be fair,

I am a writer too, don’t try this on me, don’t make me compare,

You are talking too harsh to me, now I can’t bear,

Don’t waste my time! This argument is going to lead us nowhere,

Don’t tell me again & again that I can’t write like William Shakespeare,

I am a writer too, and I deserve to be here.

Sometimes people don’t understand your aspirations, your struggle and pain.

Sometimes people don’t understand, how much you love them, how much you care!

I’m writing something on a paper, just trying to make a rhyme,

And you are fighting with me, because of you I’m forgetting my lines,

And now you are saying “You don’t care about me! Honey, you are not mine?”

You know I have to catch a flight, and you don’t want me to write?

Let me make it clear, what’s in my mind,

Writing is my passion, this is my whole life,

This is my dream, and I’m gonna follow it. All right?

I don’t want to fight with you, I just work for my good name,

I am siting in my room for hours, I dream to be a poet,

How much I love my work baby you should know it.

You don’t know how much I love you! It’s just that I don’t show it,

Hey, look what I have got for you, a shining necklace locket,

You know you are my heartbeat & everyone knows it.

She said “You don’t care about me! How much I miss you, you don’t know it”,

No it’s not true, please listen to me where are you going?

“You hurt me, you wanted me to cry, huh? That’s what you wanted?”,

I kept doing my work & gave no attention to her, I think I took her for granted,

She said “I have not expected this from you” and She picked up the necklace locket,
